(P Assirati) I was listening to the Hothouse Flowers a lot, well I always do actually. I love the way their songs sound like they could have been written for Otis Redding or The Band or me all at the same time, so I thought I'd try writing one for myself. I was really obsessed with their song 'Feel like living' and I got the piano chords trying to sound like them. The lyrics are about remembering the first time you saw someone as you are letting them go for the last time. I'm very proud of the way the dual vocal at the end merges just in time. Bekka's double cello solo is killer.
